I can't really describe the feeling I get when men and women are called equals, we're clearly not. Is the dough of a pizza equal to the toppings? No, but one without the other is just bread. The whole idea that men and women should have all of the same jobs and opportunities in the world is a strange phenomenon, and it's been breaking up families since the idea became mainstream.
My idea of the perfect upbringing for a child goes like this:
So when that day comes, who is better equipped to stay home with the child when someone has to work? Let me lay out the most important part of the process: Milk. For dad to stay home, either formula needs to be used, which of course is going to cut into the grocery budget of any young family, or mom needs to pump milk several hours per day, in order to freeze the milk, which dad needs to thaw in order to feed the baby and hope that he doesn't run out. A very inefficient process, to be sure. Flip the roles and dad simply goes to work, and mom brings out the ATTACHED MILK BAGS that she has on her body. How much time and effort is saved for the family as a whole if mom does this job? How much stress is relieved for everyone to let mom be what she has evolved to be, and not make her feel like shit for doing it? I hear stories all the time that throw negative light on stay at home moms, "I could never do that, but good for you if it makes you happy." Just saying that passive aggressive statement belittles the entire process of raising a happy healthy kid.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg with regard to the sex battle going on today. Women are actually being put on the front lines in combat. Tell me soldiers, if you're in battle, do you really want a 120 pound person next to you if your 200 pound ass gets shot? Good luck getting dragged to safety buddy. We need to be realistic and not idealistic. The anecdotal "I knew a 100 pound girl that could carry a gorilla with two suckling babies swinging from her chest" isn't going to cut it for me, most women are too small to carry men, period. And don't get me started on the myths behind the wage gap, and this backward as fuck rape culture idea that the one group who is doing none of the raping, older white males, is getting credit for. Oy! And if you even mention that the people doing the most raping are immigrants, then the liberal hypocrisy comes out of the woodwork.
Liberal Feminist: "Hey you, white guy! You're promoting rape culture and women are afraid because of you."
White rational male: "Hey, I haven't raped anyone. Did you know that 80% of women crossing the U.S./Mexico border are raped by fellow immigrants along the way? And what about Muslim migrant rape in Europe, that seems bad; I heard there are certain streets you can't even walk in without a man if you're a woman in Sweden and England because the police won't go in there. Maybe, you know, the actual rapists should be considered as bad."
Liberal Feminist: "No, no, no these people are just trying to escape a bad situation, you can't blame them for anything because WORDBARFOUTOFMYFACEkLDJFlshdfkjsdhFACTSAREN'TREALksldjf"
Grrr, I said don't get me started. Ohmmmmmm, find my inner peace, ok we're there.
Just making this blog post opens me up to comments about misogyny and bigotry, but that just makes me sad for the people making the comments. Women and, I guess since I opened the can of worms, minority groups hold this strange power currently in society which makes the whole power dynamic very unequal, and men, specifically middle-aged white men are the scapegoat. I will give you one simple question to ask yourself the next time you want to know who holds power over you as a person, or as a society. Ask yourself, "Who am I not allowed to speak poorly of?" and you will have the answer.
